A-3 Skywarrior Loses Nose Gear, takes the barricade
These types of videos are much more meaningful to me considering my father was A-3 aircrew for a huge chunk of his navy carrier. You have to respect these insane crews how flew these planes in the worst conditions. Glad these guys came home safely.
A History of British Wartime Aircraft (1910-1949)
History of Wartime Aircraft, 1910-1949, taken from the British Pathe newsreel “The Battle for Britain”.
This great archive documentary boasts a wonderful lyrical narration as well as excerpts from Winston Churchill’s “Never before…” speech. The reel has good shots of the RAF in action, and Air Force personnel during the war years, a wonderful shot of a “women only” building where female mechanics work on an aircraft.
Spitfires, Hurricanes, Lancaster Bombers, Meteor, The Canberra and Fairy Delta all feature in this video.
